In 2026, the NN Ultrabalaton will start for the 20th time. The NN Ultrabalaton is one of Hungary’s most well-known and beloved ultra-running events, where participants run or cycle around Lake Balaton, either individually or as a team, completing a distance of more than 200 kilometres. What makes this race truly special is not only its challenging route, but also its unique atmosphere: runners pass through breathtaking landscapes while thousands of volunteers and supporters cheer them on day and night. The NN Ultrabalaton is about endurance, community and unforgettable experiences – for many, it becomes an adventure of a lifetime.

The most prestigious celebration of sailing!
The Kékszalag is Europe’s longest lake sailing race and attracts tens of thousands of visitors to the shores of Lake Balaton every summer. At the starting moment, hundreds of boats cut through the water at Balatonfüred as they set out to sail around the lake and return to the finish line as quickly as possible. The first race mark is located northeast of Balatonkenese. From there, the boats continue towards Siófok, the largest town on the southern shore. The route then passes through the Tihany Strait to Keszthely, at the southwestern tip of the lake, before heading back northeast along Lake Balaton towards the finish in Balatonfüred.

Hungary’s Largest Open Water Swimming Event!
The Balaton-átúszás is one of Hungary’s most popular mass sporting events, where thousands of participants take on the distance between Révfülöp and Balatonboglár. Those completing the full distance swim across Lake Balaton, covering a total of 5.2 km. In addition to the classic route, a half-distance course is also available. As part of the Lidl Balaton-áthúzás, SUP enthusiasts can complete the full distance by paddleboard.
